An elderly man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Windsor’s west end.

Emergency crews were called out to College Avenue, near Randolph Avenue just after 6 p.m. on Monday evening. Windsor police says a 69-year-old man was struck when a white dodge vehicle travelling south on Randolph, turned left onto College.

The man sustained swelling to his face and an abrasion to his chin. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

The driver of the vehicle has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
