A dog attack has led to a $610 fine for one Windsor dog owner.

Back in September, CTV News told you about Gina Bourque, the owner of a four-month-old Shih Tzu, who says that was her killed by a larger dog, who was off leash at the time.

Bourque says the attack happened at the Ford Test Track Park on Sept. 24, just before noon.

After the incident, Bourque rushed her dog Kodi to a vet, but not before taking a picture of the other dog’s license.

The city's by-law enforcement officers investigated and have now issued a ticket to the owner of the larger dog for "permitting a dog to bite another animal without provocation."

The case is still under investigation under provincial legislation.
