A look at things to do in Windsor and Essex County June 9 – 12:

Carrousel of the Nations

For 41 years the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County has dazzled the region with the Carrousel of the Nations. World-renown artists are set to take the main stage at the Riverfront Festival Plaza this weekend as part of the Fusion of Culture Festival. D-J Jazzy Jeff, of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fame, is one of the headliners, along with R&B artist Karl Wolf, pop sensation Farahri and local rocker Jodi Raffoul and more. Advance tickets are available for purchase online.

LaSalle Strawberry Festival

Plenty of entertainment at the LaSalle Strawberry Festival this year. The event kicks off with the Miss LaSalle Pageant and Little Miss Strawberry Pageant tonight. On Friday night, the Autumn Kings open for headliner Gob and fireworks are planned for 10 p.m. Saturday entertainment includes Cowboys in Cardigans, followed by Steven Page, a founding member of Barenaked Ladies. http://www.town.lasalle.on.ca/en/things-to-do/strawberry-festival.asp

Eric Burdon and the Animals WSG Edgar Winter Band

He’s known for one of the most powerful and distinctive voices in Rock and Roll - Eric Burdon & The Animals will be performing at Caesars Windsor on Saturday night. Burdon has been making music for five decades, with hits like "House of the Rising Sun," and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." Joining him will be American rock and blues musician Edgar Winter. There are still a few tickets available.

Barron Fest 2016

A celebration of the life of a Windsor musician and skateboarder is planned for Saturday and Sunday. Barron Fest 2016 will honour Ryan Barron, who was killed in a hit-and-run in Vancouver in April. Several bands have signed on to perform at the event at the Olde Walkerville Theatre and The Dominion House. All proceeds will be directed to the Barron family.
