ERCA says there's a potential for flooding

The Essex Region Conservation Authority says there is a potential for flooding on the region’s smaller watercourses.

In a flood outlook statement, ERCA says roadside and agricultural ditches are still filled with snow and ice making it difficult for water to drain. 

Standing water throughout the region is also being monitored. ERCA says the depths of standing water could be deep and extremely hazardous.

Sandbags have been confirmed for all local municipalities. If the use of these bags is necessary, residents should contact their public works departments.
