Six-time Olympian medallist Clara Hughes has arrived in Windsor.

Hughes left Toronto Friday for Clara's Big Ride for Bell Let's Talk, a 110-day journey to promote conversation about mental health.

She spoke to a crowd Monday afternoon at a Tecumseh Road East BMO bank about her battle with mental illness. Hughes will attend an event at the Ciociaro Club Monday night at the In Her Shoes with Clara Hughes event.

She will share her own personal struggles with depression, to help shed a light on mental illness.

Hughes spent Sunday night at Chatham’s John Bradley Convention Centre with the Make Children Better Now organization.

Hughes, will visit 95 Canadian communities on the road to a stigma-free Canada.

She'll end her tour in Ottawa on July 1 -- Canada Day.
