After a record breaking winter slammed Windsor-Essex, Environment Canada says the summer will be “delightfully boring”.

According to Environment Canada meteorologist David Phillips, long-term models for our region shows a “more than normal kind of summer.” Phillips suggests temperatures will be right on par with what Windsor-Essex typically sees.

“There will be times where it will be hot, humid and hazy, but it may not be memorable from being a warmer than normal summer,” he says.

The month of May averaged out to be about half a degree warmer than normal, and about 80 per cent rainier.
