A LaSalle police sergeant is suspended with pay following a charge of impaired driving.
Mike Foreman allegedly failed a breathalyzer test when he crossed the border last month.
Windsor police were called in and charged Foreman, who has been with the LaSalle service for more than 20 years.
Mayor Ken Antaya says the town's police chief has kept him apprised about the situation and is waiting for a full report.
Antaya says under the Police Act, Foreman will remain suspended with pay until the court has dealt with his matter.
