An investigation into a possible break-in ended up leading to drug charges.

On Friday at about 7:30 a.m., Windsor police were dispatched to an apartment located in the 1300 block of Wyandotte Street East for a break and enter that just occurred.

Police received information that the apartment was supposed to be vacant, but someone was inside.  

Officers entered the apartment and placed the man under arrest.  

During the arrest, officers say they observed a quantity of drugs, a digital scale and other evidence consistent of drug trafficking.  

Information was received that the man was bound by conditions to reside at a different residence, to notify of change of address and not to possess any drugs or scales. 

Police obtained a warrant and searched the apartment at 11:30 a.m.

Officers seized 228.7 grams of cocaine valued at $22,870, one gram of crack cocaine valued at $100, a digital scale, cell phone and a laptop computer.

Daniel Arhin, a 28 from Windsor, is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and 4 counts of breach of recognizance.
