Windsor police are investigating the stabbing of a young woman in the city’s downtown.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue for a report of a 25-year-old woman being stabbed. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the woman, but she was unable to provide much information.
However, the victim told police that the suspect was a male and was last seen going westbound towards Glengarry residential housing. Police believe the stabbing took place between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.
The woman was transported to hospital, where she underwent surgery for a stab wound just below her rib cage.
