Windsor police say they want to speak to the owner of a large dog that attacked a smaller dog on Giles Boulevard.
On Feb. 2, officers went to the home of a woman who says her small dog died after being attacked by a larger dog.
The complainant told police she was walking her dog in the 400 block of Giles Boulevard West at 4:30 p.m., when it was suddenly attacked by a larger dog, possibly a Bull Mastiff-mix with short brown/beige hair.
She was able to pull her dog away and shield him from any further attack. The owner of the large dog was also able to pull his dog away.
Police say the small dog sustained serious bite related injuries to his torso so the complainant brought him to an animal hospital but he succumbed to his injuries and died.
The possible owner of the large dog is described as a man, 5’ 6”, 170 lbs, about 30 years old, with possibly dark curly hair and light skin. He was wearing a brown jacket.
The large dog is described as weighing about 120-150lbs, possibly Bull Mastiff-mix, with short brown/beige hair.
