A 35-year-old Kingsville man is facing impaired driving charges after police say they found open alcohol in his vehicle.

OPP in Leamington received a traffic complaint at the Burger King restaurant located at 300 Erie Street South in Leamington on Sunday, just after midnight.

A grey pickup truck drove over the grass near the Burger King parking lot, almost hit other cars and jumped a curve as it swerved in the parking lot, according to what the caller told police.

Officers found the vehicle a short while later travelling westbound on Seacliff Drive, just east of Union Avenue in Kingsville.

Police say the driver showed signs of impairment and there was open alcohol located in the vehicle.

Adam Sulja, 35, was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content.

He will appear in a Leamington court on May 30.
