The westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent have re-opened after a serious early morning crash on Monday.
OPP say a westbound Pontiac minivan left the roadway, entered the median then returned to the westbound lanes where it landed on its side.
Three people were injured in the single-vehicle collision around 8 a.m.
Police say one passenger, a 33-year-old Windsor man, was ejected from the vehicle and has been airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 37-year-old male driver and a 32-year-old male passenger, both from North York, were trapped and had to be extricated by police and EMS.
They are being treated in hospital and the no details on their injuries have been released.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team was called to the scene to investigate.
All lanes between Kent Bridge Road and Bloomfield Road were re-opened shortly after 1 p.m.
