Fire officials say the cost to fight the massive blaze at Tecumseh’s Bonduelle plant is in the tens of thousands of dollars.

According to deputy Tecumseh fire chief, Art, Lounsbury, it cost the town an estimated $40,000 to battle the blaze that ripped through the food processing plant on Friday.

Meanwhile, crews were called back out to Bonduelle Thursday afternoon, as stubborn hot spots continue to flame up.

On Wednesday, production restarted, with employees processing and canning peas.
