A slight up-tick for Windsor’s unemployment rate.

The city’s jobless rate for November was at 5.7 per cent, compared to 5.3 in October.

The national economy registered a net gain of 10,700 jobs in November.

Recent gains in construction and manufacturing trailed off while there were significant gains in finance, insurance and real estate.

Bay street analysts have been saying that the category of - finance, insurance and real estate - will be one that will flourish in Canada as a result of the trump administration in the white house.

It could be that sector is hiring in anticipation.

Meanwhile, Stats Canada reports nearly 19,000 jobs were created in the province last month.

That dropped Ontario's jobless rate to 6.3 per cent.
