Three people, including a Windsor man, are in critical condition at a London hospital, following a serious crash on the Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.

Provincial police says Israfil Kilic, 33, was ejected from a Pontiac minivan, when it entered the median then returned to the westbound lanes where it landed on its side. He’s now listed in critical condition.

The driver, 37-year-old Ismail Durmus and the other passenger, 32-year-old Hanifi Ozdemir, both from North York, were trapped and had to be extricated by police and EMS. They are also listed in critical condition.

The crash happened near Kent Bridge Road, just before 8 a.m. The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team was called to the scene to investigate.
