As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Tim Hortons is asking Canadians to vote on a classic menu item to bring back for a limited time.
One of five classics from the past 50 years will be chosen through their online 'Bring It Back' campaign, launched Thursday.
Glenn Hollis, vice president of marketing for Tim Hortons, said in a statement "Some menu items have come and gone, yet we continue to receive requests to bring back beloved menu items...We hope [Bring It Back] sparks fond memories for Canadians and Tim Hortons employees from coast to coast."
The first item in the running is the eclair. Popular in the 1960s it was dipped in chocolate fondant, then sliced and filled with whipped topping.
One item from each decade will be revealed on 'Throwback Thursday' over the next few weeks on the Bring It Back website and Tim's Facebook page.
Once all five are revealed, Canadians can vote daily through the first two weeks of May for their favourite item.
The winner will be announced May 15th, ahead of the company's officiasl birthday on the 17th, and return to Tim Hortons locations later in 2014.
