A 19-year-old is charged with sexual assault after he allegedly broke into a Windsor home and performed an indecent act while a woman was sleeping.

Windsor police were called to a home in the 2200 block of Curry Avenue at 4:10 a.m. on Nov. 28 regarding a break and enter.

Police say a resident in the home as woken by a male in her home.

He fled the home and police say he stole the homeowner's 2006 blue-green Mazda 5 with Ontario plate #BNMH137.

Through Investigation, police have determined that the suspect performed an indecent act inside the residence while the victim was sleeping. 

Forensic identification experts located and seized DNA evidence inside the residence.  It was sent to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto for analysis.

On Tuesday, the CFS told Windsor police that a forensic scientist had a "hit" off of the national DNA databank in relation to the submission. 

Detectives found the accused within an hour, and he was arrested at headquarters.

 Austin Boucher, 19, from Windsor is charged with sexual assault and break and enter.

 The Mazda 5 and the victim's purse have not been recovered.
