A Windsor ambulance crew, about to leave an area of Peter and South streets where they were dispatched to early Sunday, had a male collapse in front of them.
Police say the 24-year-old man from Hamilton had been shot and was taken to Hotel Dieu Hospital shortly before 6 a.m.
His injuries are not life threatening.
Police say he is not cooperating with them as they continue their investigation.
