Hundreds of people attended two job fairs on Saturday.
Syncreon Canada Inc., located on Pillette Road, saw 500 applicants come through the doors for a chance at one of the 50 to 60 positions in the company.
In Lasalle, Centerline Ltd. Is recruiting for 55 positions for its manufacturing needs in three different locations.
Over 600 prospective employees waited in line, which was much more than the company expected.
"It's good to see the interest; it's good to see people come out. There's a lot of good career opportunities here. It's good to see the people coming out with interest,” said Stephen Renaud of Syncreon.
