A house fire caused $10,000 damage Thursday night.

Tecumseh fire crews battled the blaze on Gauthier Drive around 8:40 p.m.

Officials say was caused from a crack in the chimneys lining. Fire travelled into the wall.

When firefighters arrived, they quickly upgraded the fire, calling for more units to respond. The seven crews were able to get the fire out within an hour.

One person was inside the home at the time, but they got out safely. No one was injured.
