Windsor police are searching for a suspect after a stabbing Saturday night.

It happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Erie Street and Parent Avenue.

Police say the 20-year-old victim, "possibly kicked" a moving vehicle while crossing the street.

The suspect then got out, stabbed the man and then fled the scene.

The victim spent the night in hospital as his three-inch stab wound was stitched up.

The victim was with at least one friend at the time of the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 40 and 45, roughly 6' tall with a thin build and a beard or goatee.

Police say he was driving a four-door black car, possibly a Chrysler.
