Windsor Police believe they thwarted a robbery when heavily-armed officers surrounded a home Saturday morning.
Police were responding to a weapons call at 399 Bridge Avenue in the city's west side. Police say the homeowners called 911 to report a robbery. Many officers surrounded the property with their guns drawn. They soon arrested two men as they tried to flee through the front door. It's believed the men were caught in the act of robbing the home. They were taken into custody and held in the prisoner transport vehicle at the scene.
No one was hurt in the incident. A knife was recovered at the scene.The two arrested men remain in custody but they have not yet been charged.
