The City of Windsor says parking enforcement officers issued 35 tickets in the area surrounding Vincent Massey Secondary School.

Officers issued 13 tickets during a 45 minute enforcement blitz on Wednesday morning and another 22 tickets over a similar time period Wednesday afternoon.

Tickets ranged from $40 for stopping in a no-stopping zone, to $100 for obstructing the flow of traffic.

The blitz was carried out in an effort to crackdown on the illegal stopping and parking that has been reducing site lines for drivers and making walking unsafe for pedestrians.

City supervisor of compliance and enforcement Bill Kralovensky says more enforcement blitzes are likely at other locations across the city in the future.
