The sentencing hearing of a Windsor man found guilty of possessing and making child pornography was held today.
James Piche pleaded guilty to 15 charges of making child pornography and one charge of possession of child pornography.
Piche was first arrested in September 2014, as part of a province-wide internet child exploitation bust.
More charges were laid after Windsor police found 10,000 photos and hundreds of videos on his computer of boys and girls under the age of 18 committing sexual acts.
Police confirmed today some of those assaults took place while the victims were unconscious.
The defence is asking for a sentence of seven years and the Crown wants 10 years, plus a lifetime weapons ban, a lifetime on the sex offenders list, Piche banned from parks or daycare centers and from using a computer to communicate with anyone under the age of 16.
The judge says he will review all of the evidence and decide what is a just and fit sentence for Piche.
He is expected to deliver his sentence on Sept. 22.
