WINDSOR, Ont. - A Toronto man has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison following a police raid of a southwestern Ontario barn housing more than 220 kilograms of pot.

Thirty-three-year-old Edward Seery received his sentence Friday after pleading guilty to possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking days after the bust last November.

Seery's lawyer Bob Dipietro says his client believes the sentence is just, given the amount of marijuana and his prior criminal convictions.

Seery told the judge he hopes to return to school and finish his education.

Six other people still face charges in connection with the police investigation.
