A search is expected to continue Monday for a swimmer who went missing in Lake Erie near Colchester Harbour in Essex County.
Provincial police joined the Canadian and U.S. Coast Guard in the search along with Kingsville Fire, Essex Fire, EMS, and several volunteers.
Around 4:30 p.m. Sunday a group of boaters went out a kilometer off shore in a 23 foot Boston Whaler east of Colchester Habour.
Two people reportedly went for a swim near the boat when one of them struggled and went under water.
Aiding in the search are helicopters from the OPP and Coast Guard.
The OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Unit was expected to attend the scene as well.
