The Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating the massive Bonduelle fire, trying to determine how the blaze started.
Tecumseh fire crews have been on the scene since the fire began at around 2 a.m. Friday.
On Saturday, Tecumseh Fire crews estimate the blaze caused between $40 and $50 million dollars in damage.
That includes product loss, structure and equipment damage and lost revenue.
"The actual freezer plant part of it, packaging is the part that's not up and running. The production part of producing the product should be able to up and run," says Chief Doug Pitre.
In the meantime, 200 full-time employees will receive increased EI payments.
"My heart sank and it looked very grim in terms of i think the plant was going to be a total loss." says Mayor Gary McNamara.
He adds the entire region pulled together in a time of need.
"Again, I can't say enough for the first responders, they did an absolute marvelous job and part of the reason there is real hope of getting this plant going back up into production very shortly, is because of them," says McNamara.
The sense of community didn't stop there.
The owner of Johnny Shotz Bar brought over platters of wings for those on-site.
"The guys they work so hard. We love the town of Tecumseh. When people are going through hard times, it's touching to see someone care," says owner Rose-Anne Meloche.
Tecumseh fire chief says he expects the building will be handed back over to the owner's as early as Saturday evening.
