Despite some challenges, organizers of Amherstburg's Canuck It Up were pleased with weekend attendance.

The star attraction - the world's largest rubber duck - was fully inflated on Sunday after a tear and a high wind on Saturday prevented it from being fully pumped up.

The town's tourism manager Anna Rota says the festival celebrating everything Canadian drew 80,000 people, twice as many as they expected.

Other attractions included tall ships, lumber jack displays, dancers and tasty treats, such as the deep fried pastry called Beaver Tails.

Rota is unsure whether Canuck It Up will return next year, but she hopes a sponsor will step up.
