A former Windsor gymnastics coach pleaded guilty to three sex-related charges.
Carson Dickie, 31, a former coach at Winstars Gymnastics, was arrested on June 12, 2015 in Amherstburg.
He pleaded guilty to luring a person under 16, to invitation of sexual touching and sexual exploitation.
Dickie was sentenced to 2.5 years in a penitentiary and his name goes on the sex offender registry.
After he gets out of jail, for 10 years, he can't be anywhere near children or where children "might" be. He also cannot have a job or volunteer anywhere near children from 10 years after he gets out.
Before he was sentenced, Dickie turned to his victims "I'm sorry, I'm ashamed of my behaviour."
He told the court “I want to make sure when I return to society I’m a better person,” in reference to the counselling he’s already started.
There were two victims. Victim impact statements were given to the court for sentencing on Wednesday.
