A pet owner has been charged after a fatal altercation between two dogs at a Tecumseh dog park, according to police.
Essex County OPP responded to an animal complaint in the dog park on St. Jacques Street on Sunday.
Police say an altercation took place between an Alaskan Malamute and a Schnoodle. Police say the Schnoodle subsequently died as a result of his injuries.
The Malamute owner, Shaen Harrison, 39, of Windsor has been charged with failing to prevent biting or attacking a person or domestic animal under the Dog Owners Liability Act.
He will appear in a Windsor court on May 30 to answer to the charge.
