Hospital officials say 89-year-old Peter Blak, who was severely injured in an incident at the family's bakery, is improving and is now listed in fair condition.
Blak was found unconscious by a family member at Blak's Bakery on Langlois Avenue on Nov. 29.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition, underwent surgery the next day and had been in intensive care at Windsor Regional Hospital.
Windsor police continue to investigate the incieent. At the time a search of store inventory revealed that items were missing from the shop.
Despite the shock of the situation, the family has said they are touched by the outpouring of support from the community.
