About 160 workers at Amherstburg's Diageo Canada bottling plant ratified a new three-year agreement on Sunday.

The president of Unifor Local 200 didn't want to go into specifics, but Chris Taylor says the deal includes better benefits - wage increases and bonus’s.

Taylor says it's a much better deal compared to the 2014 contract which called for the layoff of 40 workers - as well as early retirements.

Taylor says all of those members have since been recalled and the company has hired additional employees, adding to the payroll.
