An overnight shooting in downtown Windsor has left a 30-year-old man with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Monday north of Park Street between Ouellette Avenue and Pelissier Street.

According to police, a man was shot in the leg multiple times. He was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“Obviously when he gets out of surgery we'll see if we can get more information as to what took place," says Const. Andrew Drouillard.

Investigators were back on the scene on Monday.

"What we know through the investigation is that this is a targeted incident and it appears that the suspect and the victim were known to each other," says Drouillard.
