Premier Kathleen Wynne says Windsor won’t be forgotten now that it’s without a Liberal MPP.
During Wynne’s speech to her Liberal caucus Tuesday afternoon, the premier thanked former Windsor West MPP Teresa Piruzza for her hard work for the community.
“We’d be pretending if we didn’t say you have the hardest role here today, cause we all wanted you back,” Wynne says. “You were a great minister and a great member.”
At the same time, Wynne reassured her commitment to Windsor, despite the loss of a Liberal seat in the region.
“We will not forget about Windsor, not by any stretch of the imagination.”
On Thursday, Piruzza lost her seat in Windsor West to Lisa Gretzky of the NDP by approximately 1,000 votes.
