Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has been given a strike deadline of October 10 by Unifor.

Negotiations began Monday following the weekend ratification vote by workers at General Motors Canada.

Union leaders are looking to set a pattern with FCA that would include wage hikes and new product investment.

Meanwhile, FCA officials say they're pulling back on weekend overtime at Windsor assembly plant.

They claim the decision has nothing to do with the ongoing auto-talks.
