Amherstburg firefighters put out a barn fire and a tractor fire in two separate calls Thursday.
Crews were first called to the barn fire at 5th Concession near Texas Road late in the afternoon.
A backhoe was brought in to assist firefighters in extinguishing the fire.
Firefighters were also sent to a tractor fire in the 6200 block of County Road 20 Thursday night. The tractor was fully involved next to a pole barn and fuel tanks.
Officials say a quick response and knock down of the fire by firefighters prevented significant damage to the pole barn.
The Fire Department says it is important for residents to be cautious this time of year as grass and fields become dry.
