A vigorous revitalization project continues in downtown Chatham with changes to the King Street commons taking shape.

Advertising has just gone digital outside on a brand new 16’ by 9’ LED screen promoting all the stores inside the downtown shopping centre.

"Right now we're in an aggressive revitalization," says Jaclyn Gillier, marketing manager at the Downtown Chatham Centre.

Construction catches the eye of motorists in historic downtown Chatham and soon a huge digital LED screen will grab the spotlight. The screen is one of the largest in southwestern Ontario and should be functional later this week.

"It's bright and vivid and you can see it nicely from the corner,” says Gillier. “We're really happy to bring this downtown!"

A dinosaur-themed kids party place complete with real fossils successfully opened late last summer and plans are in the mix to create a brand new mall entrance from King Street where Sport Chek once was.
