Detroit Red Wings fans are being told to get to the Joe Louis Arena early because of limited parking due to the North American International Auto Show.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the home opener against the Dallas Stars starts at 7:30 p.m Tuesday night.

Red Wings staff say only single seats and standing room tickets remain available. Less than 1,000 tickets remain for Friday’s game against the Minnesota Wild.

The Wings’ players and coaches welcomed fans to free open practices at Plymouth’s Compuware Arena and Joe Louis Arena last week. More than 4,000 fans jammed the Compuware Arena at their Red versus White Game last Tuesday.

The Wings (1-1) lost the first game of the season 6-0 to the Blues in St.Louis Saturday and beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 on Monday.
