Windsor police are investigating after several Walkerville restaurants have been broken into over the past few weeks.
The latest break-in was at to Salute Espresso Bar at 2090 Wyandotte St. E. around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers arrived and searched the area but the suspect had left. They spoke to the owner of the business and watched video surveillance of the suspect.
Police say investigation revealed that the suspect gained entry through the front door and he is seen stealing the cash register.
There have been several similar break-ins to businesses in the Walkerville area, including The Willistead Restaurant, The Twisted Apron, LaContessa Ristorante and Loreleis Bistro.
Police say it is unknown if it is the same suspect from the other break-ins.
