Police say there have been more speed-related deaths on Ontario roads than distracted-driving deaths so far this year.

The Ontario Provincial Police say of the 129 deaths of roads they patrol, 28 of those were as a result of speed.

There have been 23 deaths where the cause was related to inattention and 14 deaths were alcohol or drug-related.

With Canada Day approaching, provincial police say they are cracking down on aggressive drivers.
