Windsor police say charges are pending after an inmate appears to have caused damage to the Southwest Detention Centre.
Sgt. Matt D'Asti says officers went to the jail on Thursday for a mischief investigation.
The damage is estimated at $15,000.
After the incident, the inmate was transferred to a jail in Hamilton.
The investigation is ongoing.
