Maybe it’s a little holiday spirit, but a suspect in a Walkerville vandalism case has come forward.

Bill Hucker, the owner of William’s Grocery, had the front window of his store smashed this past weekend.

Hucker tells CTV News that the suspect has now reached out to him.

Hucker had surveillance video from the incident, in which a cast iron pot is thrown through the window.

He posted the video on Facebook and the story aired Monday on CTV Windsor.

Hucker says the man came forward shortly after the story aired and is willing to pay for the damage.

He calls the man a nice guy, who made a bad decision.
