Windsor police are asking for help after a hit and run collision near McDougall Street and Erie Street East.

Officers were called to the incident on Saturday, Sept. 5 around midnight.

Police say investigation revealed a silver SUV collided into a Vets Cab which caused it to veer off the roadway into a fire hydrant.

The silver SUV fled the scene but was later identified and located, according to police.

Investigators are looking into who was in the SUV and are asking anyone with information or images to call.
