Officials with the Windsor Goodfellows are concerned they won’t reach their fundraising goal.

Volunteers hit the streets over the weekend selling newspapers for the Goodfellows largest fundraiser of the year. After three days at street corners and intersections, the organization fears they won’t reach their goal of $250,000.

The money is used for several programs including their Christmas food basket initiative.  While funding has already been secured for the fiscal year, the organization could face program cuts next season if they don’t receive enough donations.

Officials are hopeful that some funding can be acquired through alternative sources, but there’s no guarantee. If you’re looking to contribute to the Goodfellows you can visit their website for more information.
