The provincial government is giving the University of Windsor $1.1 million to build innovation and entrepreneurial programs.

The goal is to help student entrepreneurs gain business skills, mentorship and hands on experience to start and grow a business.

The program at the university’s EPICentre will offer entrpreneurship activites and awareness programs on-campus and in the community.

It is also expected to support job creation and economic development opportunities in the region and develop strong ties to mentors.

The investment is through the Campus-Linked Accelerators program, part of Ontario’s Youth Jobs Strategy being launched at universities and colleges across the province.
