A tractor trailer with a ‘volatile load’ was involved in crash on Highway 3 in Cottam.
OPP say it happened between Marsh Road and Cameron Side Road in Cottam around 3:20 p.m.
Police say a tractor trailer carrying Ammonium Nitrate was one of the vehicles involved in the head on crash with a Sport Utility Vehicle.
The driver and lone occupant of the SUV was sent to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer unit was not injured.
Highway 3 between Marsh Road and Cameron Sideroad has been temporarily closed in both eastbound and westbound directions.
Kingsville Fire Department attended the scene and confirmed the tractor trailer load was not a safety concern.
The investigation is continuing.
