It was a crash that could be felt blocks away.
Late Friday night, a vehicle slammed into a laundromat at the corner of College and Campbell, causing a fire, as well as significant damage to the structure.
The dramatic crash was also caught on surveillance video.
"I thought it was a transport truck but then I looked out and the transport truck moved. And then I seen the fire, so I ran out to see what happened. I've never seen that before," says witness Leona Pennll.
One person was sent to hospital from the incident.
A woman in the passenger seat suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Tom Greer is the owner of the laundry mat.
He received a phone call from police Friday, notifying him that a car had crash through his building.
"It's kind of a shock to have to deal with that but what can you do?" says Greer.
While this is a devastating lose for him. He is hoping to make the most out of the terrible situation..
"We are opening up in the future, not too long, and I already got some plans to make the place better."
Police say the male driver ran from the scene but what later arrested.
He is being charged with dangerous driving and failing to remain under the criminal code.
