Essex County OPP officers have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted for an armed robbery at the Shopper’s Drug Mart in Bell River.
The incident took place Aug. 9. Police say a man approached two employees in the parking lot and while brandishing a knife and robbed them of three bank deposit bags.
Details provided to police by witnesses and victims has resulted in a composite sketch of the suspect.
The suspect was described as a white male with short dark hair and about 5’6” tall. He was wearing a dark-coloured shirt and dark-coloured pants. He was believed to be 20 to 30 years of age.
He was alone at the time and didn’t speak to the employees.
This man approached the employees in a black smaller-sized vehicle, possibly a Mazda 3 or Mazda 4, 2002 to 2010, bearing Ontario licence plate BMJX 556. This marker was reported stolen in December 2012 from the Lakeshore area.
