The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is monitoring several respiratory outbreaks at retirement homes in Essex County.
Officials are reporting outbreaks at five retirement homes, including Regency Park in downtown Windsor.
Also included are; St. Clair Beach Retirement Community, Southgate Retirement Residence, Extendicare Southwood Lakes and Devonshire Retirement Residences.
The symptoms involved include fever, cough, headaches and chills.
An outbreak occures when two or more canses of acute respiratory tract illness occur within 48 hours in a specific unit or ward.
