Windsor police are looking for suspects after they say a large amount of copper was stolen at a building site on Ottawa Street.

The commercial/residential building at 943 Ottawa Street had extensive damages after a fire on Nov.8, 2014. It has since been under renovation.

Police say the building was broken into and a large amount of copper was removed on Jan. 5, between the hours of 12:30a.m. and 12:45 a.m.

Suspects reportedly broke into the building again between Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. and Jan. 12 at 3p.m. and removed a smaller amount of copper.

A third incident occurred overnight Jan. 14-15, but a newly installed alarm system sounded and prevented a break in.
